James and Rosa Ellen (Clark) Mead: Eaton County, Michigan

For several years now, I have been posting queries about my Mary "Polly" (Hillman) Clark, with no responses, but am hoping that by posting under a Mead message board, something will come of it. Rosa Clark who married James Mead in Eaton County was the d/o my Henry Clark and wife Mary "Polly" Hillman - I still need parents for Polly. I would hope she is listed in some family bible which I certainly do not have - does anyone have a Mead or Clark family bible? And where is that "pitcher and plate " which Rosa's mother brought with her from NY state - "these prized heirlooms" which, when the book was written, "are now nearly a hundred years old." The Past and Present of Eaton County also says that she was born in NY State June 10, 1815 which is questionable, as this article gives a marriage date that is incorrect . On the 1880 census for Henry and Polly, it shows her name as Mary P. whereas other times, including the marriage license, she is Polly; the census shows that her parents were both born in Rhode Island. (Again, sometimes a questionable source as we know). Who has the answer I have been trying to find for so long?
