I am looking for information about a Mead family that lived in NYC in the 1800's
One of the daughters (or only daughter) is Hannah Mead who married Lewis Stewart in 1826 in NYC. Hannah's mother's name was Bridget ( unknown maiden) The first I see Bridget is 1835 as living in NYC.
Would like father's name/and any other members as well as Bridget's maiden name and other family.
Of course, I have to prove a family "history" incorrect... Great Uncle George Gordon Mead.... Several members of my family are named after him but I have not been able to prove/disprove this "history". I have a feeling its like "Washington slept here"
