I'm looking for descendants of Samuel McKeen (born Oct. 31, 1845) and his wife Mary Chapman (born Feb. 20, 1847) They lived in Washington County, Ohio, and Doddridge County, West Virginia, and perhaps for a time in Pennsylvania as well. These are their 14 children: (1) Alberta M. McKeen (born. May 10, 1867) - Mrs. Ailey Jeffrey of Pennsylvania. (2) Sarah Mina McKeen (born Feb. 11, 1869) - Mrs. Stephen Beck. (3) Charles V. McKeen (born Dec. 1, 1870) of Pennsylvania. He was a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad. (4) Samuel McKeen Jr. (born Sept. 11, 1872). He died young. (5) James W. McKeen, twin of Samuel, (born Sept. 11, 1872). He also died as a child or youth. (6) Robert Wiley McKeen (born April 11, 1875-d. Nov. 1962). He was an engineer for New York Central Railroad and the Harrisville (W.Va.) Southern Railroad. (7) Jerry McKeen (born March 28, 1877). He was a conductor. (8) John H. McKeen, twin of Jerry, (born March 28, 1877). He died as a child. (9) Harry Delbert McKeen (born June 17, 1879). He was a conductor with the Pennsylvania Railroad. (10) Gordon B. McKeen (born Aug. 2, 1881-d. June 1967). He was a conductor with the Pennsylvania Railroad and died at Pittsburgh, Pa. (11) George A. McKeen (born Jan. 22, 1883). He was an engineer for the B&O Railroad. (12) Earl G. McKeen (born Feb. 26, 1886). He was an engineer for the B&O Railroad. (13) Benson R. "Harry" McKeen (born Aug. 5, 1887). He was an engineer for the B&O Railroad. (14) Nelson H. "Pete" McKeen (born Dec. 28, 1890). He was an engineer for the B&O Railroad. Does anyone out there know where the relatives of this family are today? The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore is interested in the McKeens. They may just hold the record for the most men from one family to serve as conductors and engineers. Notify Administrator about this message?
