Hi Sandra

I just started to look at my McKeen family tree and saw you post for Samuel McKeen. Samuel would be my great grandfather. His son Charles Vivian McKeen is my grandfather. He was married to Rebecca Simpson in 1896. They had 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls. I am the son of the youngest male, James S. McKeen Sr. My father and all of my aunts and uncles in the McKeen side of my family have all past away.

I did not know my grandmother Rebecca as she died when my father was about 12 year and that would have been 70 years ago. I did know granddad McKeen as a very soft spoken, pipe smoking man with very beautiful silver head of hair. One thing that I can correct is that he was not a conductor for the railroad. He was an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad. However he was long retired before I was born.

That’s a little bit of what I know of the family history. If you want any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me

Jim
