While looking for my ancestor, I found the following Rev. War Records which I hope will help someone.
1. William McCain and wife Charlotte from NY & VA. who married in 1778 - located in Series M805, Roll 562, Image 546, File #R6592, 4 Pages. Charlotte was a widow in Orange Co., NY.
2. Hugh McCain and wife Isobel Baskins from NC & SC who married January 23, 1787 - located in Series M805, Roll562, Image 533, File #R6593, 7 Pages. Hugh was born November 17, 1761 and died March 6, 1832. Eight children and their birthdays are listed in these papers.
3. Hugh McCain/McCann - located in Series M805, Roll 562, Image 540, File #R6596, 6 Pages. Resided in VA in 1834. Pension application rejected.
4. John McCain and wife Mary from NC who married March 23, 1780. John was born December 10, 1753 NC and died March 9, 1835. Series M805, Roll 562, Image 116, File #W9543, 10 Pages. Mary was 75 years old in 1839. Names and birthdays of their children are listed in these papers.
