I am researching my mother's father's side of the family - McKeen - and have traced back all the relatives I have been looking for until aroung 1770 when John McKeen was born. I am unable to link him with the families that came from Scotland. John's son, Robert, who married a Mary Grant, is my g.g. grandfather. I have researched several generations that went to America from Ireland in early 1700's and have found it fascinating. None of my ancestors emigrated to America. Any help in any direction would be appreciated.
