My gg grandfather, William McKane was born 1842 in Ireland, immigrated to US in 1843 and lived in the Sheepshead Bay,Brooklyn, Kings County area. I would like to hear from any other McKanes whose ancestors lived in this area at that time. I have 1900 census for most of the McKanes who were in NY but don't know how or if they connect.
