Please check out McCain family forum message #1252 for the answer to your question. It is very easy to check out John McCain's line. As I indicated in #1252, the two lines are not related, unless there is a connection further back somewhere. John came from Scotland and the other line via Ireland. My husband is in the McCain book you mentioned.
