(end of Will and Testament) AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE THE NEXT ENTRY IS WHEN THE WILL WAS PROBATED AFTER WILLIAM HAD DIED SOMETIME BEFORE MAY OF 1877. IT IS AS FOLLOWS: " State of Kentucky, Marshall County. I, T.L. Gohum (Goheen?) Jr. Clerk of the County Court of Said County do certify That the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of the last will and Testament of William McCain Dec'd and of the certificate Probate and records ****of, as appears of record in My office Given under My hand This 4 day of May 1877. T. L Gohun (Goheen?) Jr. Clerk Marshall County Court. " These documents were recorded in Lafayette County Mississippi, so it is obvious that William's "Mississippi land" must have been in that County. My husband is a McCain from Lafayette Co. Mississippi and this is especially interesting to us as his lineage. Notify Administrator about this message?
