I am new to genealogy, but have done some research on my paternal grandmother who was a Maxim. I have been told she was linked to the Maxim family that built fire apparatus in Middleboro, Massachusetts by going back to Samuel Maxim and Hannah Perry. My line goes back to a few generations of Jacob Maxim's with the earliest being born in the early 1800's (I'm at work with no material in front of me - sorry.) I know Samuel had a son named Jacob, but I recall him being born in the early 1700's. I can't put them together. I was hoping someone had some insight or information.
