Hi Terry,

Thanks for this info. In response to your inquiry, I am living in Canada. While I am registered on the genesreunited site, I am not a paid member. There were certainly a lot of Margison's living in the Wakefield/Stanley/Outwood/Wrenthorpe area in the 1800's as well as a lot of spelling variations of the family name. My great uncle, Asquith Gray (a coal miner) married Frances Margison around 1899 and they were living in Stanley. The 1901 census reveals they had a daughter named Gladys, who was born in 1900-01. I have not, as yet, been able to track any further info on them, post 1901, although, I did come across the name of a Stanley Asquith Gray, from Wakefield, whom I suspect is connected to this family. In your search, have you been able to unearth any information on the family of Frances Margison & Asquith Gray?

Regards

Milton
