Frances parents and siblings were as follows. In 1881 they were living at 7 Teasdale Houses, Newton Lane End Road:

John Margison (head)- coal miner born abt. 1844 in Newton
Rebecca (wife) - born abt 1846 in Stanley

Joe (son) - born abt 1866 in Stanley/Outwood
Walter (son)(coal miner) - born abt 1868 in Stanley/Outwood
Ellen (daughter)- born abt 1869 in Stanley/Outwood
Frances (daughter) - born abt 1876 in Stanley/Outwood
James (son) - born abt 1878 in Stanley/Outwood
Zilliah (daughter) - born abt 1880 in Stanley/Outwood
Arthur (son) - born abt 1887 in Stanley/Outwood
