Larry, thank you for your answer. Following information from link posted,

This Alexander ougth to be another one, born same year.

Agnes Mackie, my gggg-mother married Colin Elder - Aberdeen at 03/23/1826. They lived at Isle of Ornsay. Colin studied there in Marischal College abt. 1810.

Colin was nephew of Major General Sir George Elder (b. Killearnan), and son of John Elder, a farmer at Sleat.

As it is remarked in the link attached, Elizabeth s mother, Elizabeth Elder probably was a sister of George and John. I can not, till now, to find out origin of this family.
