Have been able to research my family back to my Gx5 grandfather (Adam Mackie).
He was born between 1762/65 in Hattonslap.
He came to the Parish of Fyvie in 1786.
he married Margaret Findlay in 1785 in the Parish of Old Meldrum.
They had three sons:
* William (b:1786/Hattonslap, married Isabella Chivas/Shivas 1814, had 6 sons, they lived in Ardlethen, Ellon. He was a blacksmith, d:1858),
* Adam (b:1788, married Mary Jamieson, 2 dau, 3 sons. Mary died 1835. Adam married Isabella Rose, 1 son 3 dau. He died 1850, Isabella 1882
* George - my Gx4 grandfather (b:1792, married Elizabeth Jamieson in 1822, had 4 sons, 1 dau. He was a shoemaker in Mains of Fyvie. d:1838)

Is anyone able to help me go back any further than Adam (b:1762/75) or perhaps you know some info I dont about his decendants? Please let me know

Elysia Mackie (New Zealand)
