Robert Lossing

Can anyone help me out. I've started to research where my family is from on my mom's side. So far I know more of my great grandmother than my great grandfather, Robert Lossing. I've heard different stories as to where he was origianlly from. Some say New York, some say Canada, and my mom says she was told he came from England. He died during the summer of 1988, when I was four, and was married to Glady Gee, and they had three children, Robert, Diane and Joan. Joan is the only remaining living family member. Is there anyone out there that might have some information on him. I'm also told that he might have been a twin. I hope someone out there has some information, as my own family seems to not know much of where he is from.
