I am fairly certain that I know the identity of the David Litz you have mentioned in your query. Although I am not a direct descendant of this Litz family, I have a collateral connection to them.
My own records differ in some particulars from your own, but there are enough similarities to convince nearly anyone that it is the same family. My records have your David Litz born in IN at the same time. His mother's given name was Rachel. He had a brother named Edward. The other brother you list as "Evin" has a similar name in my own records. I also know how Norman and Ora Litz are connected to David.
