Seeking information on Julia Ann Litz of Wythe Co, VA who married Joshua Romans in 1808. I'm basically looking for information surrounding her death. Numerous family trees on the internet state that she died in Wythe Co, VA on 22 Nov 1845. Yet, no one has cites a source.
What is the source for this date and location? Is it a Bible entry or is it listed in an official Wythe Co, VA record? Where was she living when she died? Was she living with her father Leonard Litz? Julia, as far as I can tell, never shows in public records (e.g., tax lists, census records) as a head of houshold. Joshua does not appear any more after 1815 (as far as I can tell). I suspect she married Jacob Peck after Joshua Romans died. I suspect she lived in Washington, then Smyth Co, VA when it was formed, until Jacob died around 1843. For Julia's death record, is she listed as a Litz, a Romans, or a Peck?
