John Hiley fought and lost his life with Custer, but it was his assumed name, he was in fact John Stuart Stuart-Forbes, from a well respected Scottish Family, I hold his details and photograph of his memorial back in St. Johns Church. Edinburgh. His brother Sir William Stuart-Forbes lived here in Carterton.NZ..
Had a friend photograph some memorials and one for John back in Montana the other year.. Very interesting family, and its great to learn more about the Battle of Little Big Horn.
