hello molly, i think i might be related to Custer.but through his sister.which might be americus custer.im not sure about that though.would love to visit the battlefield again.i was there when i was 9 and wasnt to interested in american history.now that i am i want to go back.i never knew that custer had a brother.but you mentioned that there were alot of custers in the same unit.they did that back then.til after WWII.family members served together.why..i dont know.easier to get more killed if you ask me.but i guess they wanted their loved ones near them.after so many family member as in brothers lost their lives in WWII.they changed that.as in brothers couldnt serve in the same unit.
well i hope you email me back.new to this.but love to learn about family tree stuff.
