I am looking for the parents of MARY LETT, b abt 1853 IN, who married Daniel Lefeber 30 Jun 1870 in Jennings County, IN. They appear in the 1870 census in Graham, Jefferson, IN, living with Daniel's parents. She is 17 and born IN. Mary died between 1871-1872 after giving birth to my g-grandfather Alonzo, 30 June 1870. Daniel remarried in 1875.
I've looked at several possibilities. One looks the most promising: Whitfied Lett. His wife Mary Jane Brown died prior to 1860 when his daughter Martha J. was born to his second wife Sarah Hunt. Mary might have been born after Alonzo was born in 1850. Perhaps Mary Jane died in childbirth.
Does anyone have a comment or other information that would help me? I can't find her grave or that of Daniel either. Perhaps they are together. I saw that Whitfield was in KY in 1854 on one of the posts on this forum.
