Today I found Nathan and Elizabeth Irvin with daughter Mary C. on the Littleton, Schuler, Illinois 1860 Census showing Nathan's birth in Kentucky, but in checking the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763-1900, Nathan is listed there three times in Schuyler County marrying (1) Anney Jones on September 26, 1840 (and they must have divorced because Anney appears to have lived until 1891), while Nathan married (2) Elizabeth Barlow on January 21, 1844. She died about 1863 in Schuyler County, Illinois. He then married (3) Cassia Seward on January 4, 1864. On the Familysearch.org site of the LDS Church he is listed with all three wives, but with Elizabeth listed with the last name Morgan instead of Barlow. That site lists Nathan as having been born 11 Jan 1803; however the census indicates he was born abt 1801. Which one is right? Census takers made mistakes, too. His marriage to Anney is listed here as 22 Sep 1840, but I use this site for clues, because the info is someone's opinion; I'd take the date of the Statewide Marriage Index. Familysearch shows his death as 5 Feb 1869 in Littleton and his burial in the Littleton Cemetery. Anney's info is listed as birth about 1808 of Kentucky and death as 14 Nov 1891 in Peters Station, San Joaquin, San Joaquin, California. This site shows Elizabeth Morgan's birth about 1800 in Ohio and death about 1863 in Schuyler County, Illinois. And Cassia Steward as born about 1808 of Schuyler County, Illinois, but it doesn't show any death date. Since the Statewide Marriage Index shows Elizabeth's name as Elizabeth Barlow, I'm wondering where the Morgan name came from.
