Lewis Philips and wife Hannah and their children arrived in Lawrence Co, Indiana, in 1817 from Lincoln Co, KY. Indiana Land Entries Vincennes District 1807-1877 show land entries for this family John 1833, Daniel 1836, Peter 1829, 36 and 32;, Lewis 1817 and Hannah 1832.
Benjamin Philips was on the 1820 Lawrence Co, IN, Census with Lewis. Lewis's age was 45 up. Lewis is not on the 1830 Census, only Hannah , 40 to 50 years old, and two John Phillipses 60 to 70 and 30 to 40. Benjamin had two men 45 and up and 2 men 26 to 45 with others in his family in 1820.
