Thanks for replying. I have the census records thru 1880. I am trying to find info about Henderson Black who we thought was Hardy's brother. They lived next to each other. Lucy Gill Black was Hardy's mother and lived between them. She gave land to both Hardy and Henderson, the deed states it was given as a gift. Henderson was born in Person Co. N. C. or we think he was. Lucy's husband Robert died in 1801 and Henderson was born 1806. Lucy brought him thru Tn. and on into Calloway Co. Ky. Who gave birth to him? He married in Williamson Co. Tn in 1821 to Nacie Bazzell(daughter of Richard Bazzell). I found where Lucy was buried and it said Mother of Hardy, did not mention Henderson. I thought if I could contact a member of Hardy's family, I might get a clue where Henderson came from. I had 7 generations thinking Henderson was Robert and Lucy Black's son. Found in N. C. Robert's estate and it mentioned his children's names and Henderson was not one of them. I know that Marion Black had a bible with info. but I have not been able to find it. I think Marion was Hardy's grandson. I really am looking for Henderson Black. He died in Calloway Co. Ky close to Prysburg(spelled wrong). His father-in-law gave land for Bazzell cem. and I would think he would be buried there. I cannot find him.
If you can dig something up about Henderson other than the census records, I appreciate it.
Thanks
Geneva R. Rogers Hill
