I am trying to find the parents of my GGGG Grandfather David Garrett who was born in 1819 in NC and married Mary A. Powers on Feb. 18, 1844 in Sumner County, TN. David later moved to Marshall County, KY between 1850-1860. David and Mary were listed in the 1850 Simpson County, KY Census with an elderly woman just listed as E. Garrett and was 73 years old (Born about 1777). This is either David's mother or possibly his grandmother. A few households over according to the census were other Garrett's. Their names are John (Born about 1807), James (Born about 1812), and Joseph (Born about 1822). I am positive that these men are David's brothers. Any information on this family would be great .
