According to his obituary in the 31 July 1896 issue of the Mobile, Alabama newspaper, Lewis Korniker, Sr. was b. Posen, Germany in March 1818. At eighteen years he arrived in Mobile and became a merchant tailor. In March 1845 he m. Miss Fannie Teschemacher. She d. June 1871. A daughter survived from that marriage. In 1896, she was Mrs. Hunt P. Wilson of St. Louis, MO.
Seeking any info re: the Korniker family; and especially about Matilda Korniker Wilson, {Mrs. H. P.}.
