Thank you for your reply.As far as I know none of the pictures that I have are of the
Knolls. That does not mean anything though
as I have many unmarked pictures.
I believe John Knoll was the son of Christian and Caroline. He probably was the
brother to Bertha Louise Knoll, my great
grandmother. SHe married Carl Schultz in
Germany and came to the US after 1880.
Is your John Knoll from Germany?
I am thinking that Christian and Caroline
came to Us at the same time or possibly
later. they all settled around Columbus
Wisconsin.

from my son and too old for the internet)
