I just visited the grave site of Michael Kiser, born Mar 1811, supposedly somewhere in Pennsylvania- according to local notes on him. He lived and died in Whitley County Indiana (He shows up in the 1860 census under the name kyser) and is buried in the same county next to his wife, a Julia Anne Malone who was also supposedly born in Pennsylvania. His son, Wesley Kiser lived and died in the same area (1840-1920) and my great grandfather, Albert Carey Kiser came to the area in which I now live (northwest Indiana) to work for US Steel. My mother died unable to find parents for Michael and as of yet I have been unable to tie him to anyone. I have looked on Kiser websites but nothing seems to match up. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
