Charles or Carl Kiehn b. 1858 in WI

I'm looking for info on Charles or Carl Kiehn. He was the son of Frederick Kiehn who came from Prussia to WI in the 1850's. Charles was born in 1858 and was raised by Christiana (Rohrbach) Kiehn in Kossuth Twp., Manitowoc Co., WI but I don't think she was his mother but was the mother of other siblings of his. I'm trying to track down the children of Frederick who died in 1870 and have found out what happened to 5 of the 7.
The last record I know of him is from the probate records of Fred Kiehn on which he is said to be 21 and is dated 19 Apr 1879. He was not living with the family on the 1880 census and apparently left the area. My father remembers his father talking about an Uncle Charlie who left for Oklahoma during the land rush and sent letters for a while but was not heard from after. This Charles Kiehn would be my grandfather's uncle so I suspect he ended up somewhere in the Oklahoma area but where I have no idea. It is also possible he emigrated to MN or SD. If anyone has a record of a Carl or Charles Kiehn matching this description, please conatact me, thanks Adam
