Seeking all Keens who descend from Abner Keen, Duck Creek, Dallas County, TX. Abner Keen, was a preacher at the origional Methodist Church, Garland, TX in the 1840s. I am researching decendants of his son, Abner M. Keen, who was born in TX then moved to Arkansas but moved back to Dallas, TX where he died in 1898. I would like to open a discussion regarding the parents (father) of Abner Keen the senior. Many online data bases list Henry P. Keen as his father which extends back to the Kyn family but there are some that list Samuel Keen, Abner Keen, Robert Keen and some others. Is there anyone out there who had documented sources for the parentage of Abner Keen Sr.? In some data bases there seems to be a 40 year span between Abner Keen and his alleged father, Henry P. Keen but these data bases seem to go from Abner M. (Mitchell?)Keen to Henry P. Keen. My research indicates that Abner M. Keen's father is the Rev Abner Keen but then there is aonly a 13 year span between Abner Keen SWr. and Henry P. Keen. Any suggestions? I am attemptint o document from John Britton Keen back. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated. Tom Turse, researching for Jimmy G. Keen, WY formerly from Heavener, OK.
