Hi. I have James Keane as a Town Councilor of Cork. I have Augustus with a sister named Eliza who married Dr. Dunne. James had a sister named Kate unknown husband who had a daughter who married a Mr. Ambrose. Kate had a son Dr. I Ambrose who lived in Newcastle. This Dr. Ambrose married a woman named MacNundo. They had a son Dr. I.D. Ambrose. James had another brother named Thomas Thomas Keane (my direct line) he married Catherine Kenny in Broadford Co., Limerick. James had another brother D.D. Keane who died in 1875 unknown wife they had 2 daughters that lived in France. There is another listing for a D. Keane don't know if male or female or anything else.
James Keane's father was Thomas Thomas Keane and he married a woman name McCarthy. I only have her listed as Grandmother McCarthy Keane.
This info was obtained by family and a trip to Ireland by my uncle many years ago. Unfortunatly most of the family has passed on so I am piecing together from old stories and such.
Does this match up with anything you have? I saw a website once that listed your name with a note about the Keane family bible, is any of this listed in your family bible? Can't wait to hear more!
