Researching my great grandfather, James Kean, b/Edinburgh Scotland abt. 1848, son of William Kean, a Type Founder. James married twice...1st to Ann Connelly on 5 Nov 1871 at Parish of St Andrew, Holborn London. Ann was born in Ireland, daug of Joseph Connelly and Susan ?. Ann had died before the 1881 Census of England was taken as James shows up as a widower, age 33 with two sons, as follows: 1. James Joseph Kean ae 9 b/5 Feb 1872 @ 7 Waterloo Pl. Holborn, St James Mdx Cty (my grandfather), and 2. William Thomas Kean, ae 7, b/19 Jan 1874 @ 75 Saffron Hill, Holborn, Mdx Cty. I later found James again in the 1891 England Census, at age 42, with his 2nd wife and two more children as follows: living at 74 Saffron Hill James Kean, head, ae 42 married, type founders dresser, b/Edinburgh Scotland. Charlotte Kean, wife, ae 32, b/London, Clerkenwell James Joseph Kean, son, single ae 19, Engineers Apprentice(my grandfather) William Thomas Kean, son, single ae 17, French Bakers Apprentice David E. Kean, son, ae 4 b/Holborn Charlotte E. Kean, daug. ae 2 b/ Holborn Please...Any possible connections, please reply. I am sadly lacking information. Thank you.
