A biography/family history of Edward G. Kane is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 1167.
Father: John P. Kane, b. 1857, County Waterford, Ireland; in his teens immigrated to the US and settled in Upper Michigan, to Baltimore, Indiana, and in the 1860s to Montana. The wife of John P. Kane was Elizabeth A. Dolan, b. 1865, in Sheffied, England. They had 7 children: Edward G., William A. (Butte), Katherine, Patrick E. (Butte), Joseph J. (Butte), John (Butte), Richard (Butte).
Edward G. Kane, superintendent of the Bell-Diamond Mine in Butte, MT, was not married at the time this biography was published.
