Isam; Isham; Isom; and James Jones> Whitley KY 1820-1850

Between 1820 and 1830 I find these Joneses on the same creek in Whitley KY as my ancestors William Jones, son Samuel C. Jones and Sam's brothers Andrew, Isaac, John A. and perhaps Robert and mother Nancy Jones. All of these folks owned land on Paterson Creek. Samuel C. married Elizabeth Martin, a granddaughter of Charles Gatliff. They left KY for MO about 1831.

William and Nancy or Nancy Agness (Cunningham) Jones are our brick walls. William died in Whitley about 1823. I cannot but hope that the very close proximity of all these Joneses during the 1820s might lead to a family connection. William is thought to have been born in NC.
