I am trying to find more information on the Tau'a family. I should introduce myself. My name is Kaydene Tavares. I am 25 years old. From my research, this is what I know for now. My father is Keith Tavares, son of Katherine Piilani Tau'a and Walter Tavares, which makes Katherine Tau'a Tavares my grandmother, whom died when I was 4 years old. Grandma K's parents are Gabriel Kanamu Tau'a and Helen Pahukoa Tau'a, which makes them my Great-grandparents. I read the message from Bernandine and she mentioned that she is the daughter of Gabriel Tau'a. That's my Grandma K's brother, which makes him my uncle? I also learned that my Great-Grandmas parents are Thomas Pahukoa and Maria Kepapauai Manono Pahukoa. I know this information goes way back, but its of my greatest interest to know family that I haven't been able to meet. I'n trying to make sense of all this. If Bernadine is my uncles daughter, that makes Bernadine my cousin? Wow!
