Teresa,
Hi! There are a few of us still actively searching for the ancestors of John Jean. Also, trying to clear up where we belong in the picture.

I think I tried to email you a few years ago. Do you have sources on John's wife Jane? From records in Prince George I find he is married to Eliza for a least 25 years and she remarried after he died.

I also can find no record of Philip Jean and Mary Tomlinson, at all. We have found extensive records for Christopher, which indicate the Philip Jean in Bute County with wife Elizabeth was his son, not his brother and that the Philip in Bute migrated to Caswell County, then into Spartenburg, SC.

We can't find where our Philip, David and Jesse of Chatham County, NC fit into this line but dna connects us to the families in TN and SC.

We have a research group at:

I am also working on the ancestors of John Jean/Jane. I have found nothing for sure but at this point do not think his father was William Jeans.
