Hi List, I am working on my Warrens and working on a lead here. In Lincoln CO Tn ca. 1835 William R. Warren leaves and will naming children, one being Nancy Gean, can not find a marriage for her, or proof that "Gean" was a middle name..I then find deeds where Wm. R.'s son is buying up lands that were divided between heirs, one of the heirs mentioned is Jas. F. Jean and wife...In searching the census' I find a James Geanes 1850 Wayne Co Tn. 55 b. NC (the 1850 Agr. census shows James F. Gean), wife is Nancy b.1814 Tn, children: Eliza 16, John 15, Wm. R. 14, Wiley 12, Martha 10, Mary 9, Nancy 7, Thomas 2...1860 Wayne Co Tn. listed more children: Elisha H. 9, Sarah J. 3... I can not find James Jean/Gean etc. 1840 or after 1860..I would be very interested in knowing if this Jas Geanes is the same one mentioned in Lincoln CO deeds (I do not have original, but index)and that his wife Nancy is my Warren I'm looking for. Hoping someone can help me out here...I have in my Warrens a Susan Warren who m. William Jean 1839 in Lincoln CO TN...does anyone know how/if this Wm. Jean relates to James Jean/Geanes, etc. Thanks in advance, Cindy cindykinard@aol.com Notify Administrator about this message?
