Louis-Philippe Jean's marriage(s)?

Hi, I think I might be a descendant of Louis-Philippe Jean (b. Abt. 1866 in St-Charles, Bellechasse, Quebec), 5th great-grandson of Pierre Jean I. According to marriage records, the Drouin records, and many family trees, Louis-Philippe Jean married a Marie Celanire Huard 27 August 1889. My great-great-grandmother is also named Marie Celanire Huard and she born in April 1871, however the man my family has grown up knowing as Celanire's husband was one Frank Pluff (Francois Plouffe). I cannot find a marriage record for Celanire and Frank as I do not know when or where they were married or if they even were as there is no divorce record either, yet Celanire married a man named Robert Elkins in 1914 and Frank Pluff did not die until 1938. I also cannot find a birth record of my great-grandmother, who was known as Harriet "Hattie" B. Pluff, born March 29, 1888 +/- 1 year. This would not make sense as few men would be willing to marry a woman who had just given birth to who we assume to be Frank Pluff's child. The case could simply also be that there were two Marie Celanire Huard's from Quebec born around the same time and their records are being crossed in places. If anyone has any information or insight on this, I'd really appreciate it.
