I have a Martha Jean born about 1824 in North Carolina. She married Cornelius Knight 14 Feb 1842 in Chatham County, North Carolina. I think (but have no proof) that her father is Bird Jean, son of William Jean, Sr.

Did your Nancy have a brother named Bird?
