Thanks Judy. I hadn't realized Deak was such a common Hungarian surname. All records so far simply say Hungary. The ships manifest is the only thing that mentioned a more specific location (Budapest). I have gotten her obituary & death certificate and neither record lists her parents names or anything more specific about her place of birth. My next step is going to have to be trying to locate a marriage certificate.
