Looking for any information on Julia Deak. This is what I know.
She was born 25 Feb 1885 in Hungary.
She came to the USA on the SS Slavonia, arriving in New York on 24 April 1908. the ships manifest states that she was single, her last permanent residence was Budapest and her final destination was Stapleton, New Jersey.
Also listed on the manifest and seems like they were grouped with her are:
Erksi Srabo age 17, female
Zsuksa Srabo, age 16, female
In 1910 she appeared in the census of Mt. Carmel, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania with her husband Alexander Hartner. They married sometime in 1909.
Julia and Alexander later came to Bethlehem, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania and they had 5 children: Rose Jean, Mary, Alexander, Matthew and Emma (Emma could also be Anna).
Any information on Julia or Alexander (who also came from Hungary although I'm not sure when). Please help. This couple is the biggest brick wall in my (actually my husband's) tree.
