I think you will need to dig further into any family documents you may have, in hopes of finding a place of origin. The problem is that both of the surnames you mentioned are common; in Magyar/Hungarian, the name Nemeth means German and Horvath means Croatian. As you can imagine, people with these surnames are everywhere.
