Hi Larry, Sorry, I can't answer your question. But wanted to write because your postings are of interest to me. (The more I learn, the more I don't know.) See, I'm trying to track down a Wilburn line. (note here, numerous spellings of this surname.) John Wilburn left a short will in 1712. (Will found in King George Co VA will books. I've not seen a copy of the original, but it has been published in a gealogy book.) And this will states that John is old feeble and leaving whatever he has left after his debts are paid to his son John Wilburn. And it is witnessed by two men, one man is a Richard Pidgeon. (So, I'm thinking here's a clue, but can't figure it out.) I'm still scratching my head. So I go about searching the internet genforums, (having hit genealogy libraries for many years, thus building up a large database in the process) and I find other postings that show a Martha Horn m Wm Pridgeon c 1740 in Edgecombe Co NC. Then I spot a connection to the McKinney line in Wilkes Co NC. Now I know there is a kinship between one Wilburn family and a Fletcher family and this family appears to be the same McKinney line married to the Fletcher line and then I find later on down the road a Wilburn McKinney b 1849 in KY. And also a Keziah McKinney m to a Wilburn Gilmore. And then I spot Martha McKinney m to Benjamin Parr in Wilkes Co NC. And since my own Wilburns lived in Wilkes Co NC in 1800, I'm thinking that perhaps all of this indicates a connection to the John Wilburn who died in 1712 and had one son also of same name. Whew! Any thoughts here? Thanks heaps. Vikky Wilburn Anders in San Diego Notify Administrator about this message?
