In the 1881 Poulton cum Seacombe, Cheshire census at 3 Victoria Road is William Horn, boarder, un-married, 20, grocer's shopman, born Redmire, Yorkshire, living in the Henry Calvert household. I'm not finding William in England in 1891/1901 or in the USA in 1900. It appears Mary (Cradock) Horn was still alive in 1861. Thomas was living with wife Jane in the 1871 census.
