Lou: sorry for the very long delay in responding to your posting of 3/15. The ONLY information I have about Civility Horn was found on a family tree which linked her in marriage to Abraham Whitehead Cowart, b. 1778, Dobbs Co, NC; d. 1834, Emanuel Co.,Georgia. His parents were Zachariah Cowart, b. 1754, Dobbs Co., NC; d. 1839, Cowart Station, Early Co., GA, and Elizabeth Delane, b. 1758, Davie Co.; NC, d. 1831, Cowart Station, Early Co. GA.
I have no information about Civility Horn, other than her birthdate and the names of her and Stephen's many children.
Which previous posts by you or anyone else would give the best general information about the Horn family in 18th/19th century NC?
By the way, I find no "Dobbs Co." in present day NC. Could this be a recording error for the town of Dobson in present day Surry Co. NC?
