The deposition of Aririn Dirksen Horn, age about 65 years, being deposed saith, That he came in the Country of New Yorke formerly called New Netherlands in the year one thousand six hundred & thirty (1630), the 24th of May, with the Shipp Unity, John Brown Commander and hath ever since continued here in this Country; and saith further that at the said time of his arrivall here, this deponent heard and was informed by persons then arriving here from delloware River, that the said River was settled by the Dutch West India Company, who had sent a parcel of men there in order to whale (I'm not leaving out or adding anything to this, just present it as it shows) fishing and this deponent saith further that some short time after, to his best rememberance it was about one yeare or one yeare & a half after, news came at New Yorke from dellaware that all the said peple in delloware where (were) cut of (off) by the Indians, and further this deponant saith nott.
