This is what I have:
James Hilburn b:1780; father: Vaughn Hilburn; mother: Elizabeth Worrel; siblings: John b; 1767; Vaughn b: 1769; Benjamin b: 1774; Henry Francis b: 1776; Henry married Nancy Sikes and ended up in Alabama; Benjamin ended up in Alabama;in the War of 1812 James served with Moores Bruinswick Reg'T, NC Miltia as a Lieutenant (roll box 99/ Roll extract 602); I am told there are dozens of land deed transactions for Hilburn/Hilbourne in the 1800s for Bladen Co.(go to and request a lookup from Dee for James)This is about all I have. Most is from my brother George who has copies of some deeds and the rest is from the internet. Hope this helps you. Jeannie
