Betsey Elizabeth Hartsock Porter is listed in Barnett Mc Connell's book on the Hartsock family. Her parents lived in Nickleville, Scott Co., Virginia. Barnett does not mention her union with Addington but he does mention 12 Addington's in his book. The "History of the Addington Family" by Hugh Addington might mention an Addington going off to California. My first try would be to call the Nickleville's local library and see if someone would research the publication for you. Or The "History of Scott Co., Virginia" by Professor Milford Addington may give you a clue as to which Addington she went off with. Good Luck. Maybe by now you have found some Addington relatives.
