Hi JoBeth,

If you need any additional informaiton on the Hartsock side, let me know and I will send it.

Your information about Catherine Hartsock and William Barrick is very intersting. I got my information from the book by Chris Bailey of Bristol, Connecticut, titled Peter Barrick (1762-1841) Revolutionary War Soldier of Crawford County, Illinois; With Some of His Ancestry and Many of His Descendants. I do not own a copy of the book, but believe I have copied pages. He could have been making some false assumptions based on the two William's being one. I will try to find those pages and send a copy to you if you want.

There was also some family information staing that Cathereine was William, Sr.'s wife, but again that information could be incorrect for the same reasons above.

The DeVilbiss family is related to the Maryland Hartsocks many times as are the Cramers and Barricks and many other families of that area. Some of those families migrated to south central Ohio (south of Columbus) and southwestern Ohio (between Dayton and Cincinnati. I would like to ask you questions about some of them that might be able to be answered in the book you have.

Give me some time to digest what you'ver sent me and I'll get back with you, but that doesn't mean you have to stop writing to me.

My email address is jhartsock616@sbcglobal.net.

Thanks for contacting me and please keep in touch.

John
