Thank you for sharing your research. You never can tell when 3 little words will break through a brick wall. Because of the similarity of names it sure seems like Peter m. (Anna) Margretha Schmiten 1722 and Peter m. Catharina c1721 probably are related. Peter m. 1722 lived in the parish Feldkirchen near Neuwied and your Peter at Ober Lustadt. Wish I knew how close Ober Lustadt was to Neuwied and if it is another parish. Interesting that Schmidt's were sponsors for your Peter's children.
I do have a few notes on Andreas and Margaret Hartsock from Niederlustadt. Andreas had at least 3 children: Andrew Jr., Catharine and George. It helps to keep them seperate from our linnage. It would be interesting to know the relationship between Niederlustadt and Neuwied.
Henry Z Jones, Jr. writes there was a Catharina, d/o George Herzog from Segendorf , was sp. at Niederbieber Church 1696.
he gives a Johan Henrich Hertzog, s/o Hans Jurg Hertzog in Mosbach, m a Margaretha Lenich in 1688. Also gives Engelbertus, s/o Wilhelm Hertzog a miller at Rasselstein, as sp. in 1702. Sure would be nice to have a map of all these localities if you should happen to come across one. I'm envious that you have access to Bergert's research. Thanks again and happy hunting.
