Welcome Dale to the time consuming hobby of genealogy. You might find it helpful to know that Jonathan's wife's maiden name was Giesbert/Giesbrecht/Guizbard. They still use Giesbert/Giespert in Md. Most census takers messed the name up so badly that often it is not indexed.

MMH wrote that Benjamin, Samuel, and Peter were Jonathan's 3 oldest sons. Samuel inherited 1/2 of the Ohio homestead which may indicate that he is the oldest. Maybe not. I believe John told us that Hannah was born in 1758. I hope he corrects me if I got that wrong. With that knowledge and using the 1790, 1800, and 1810 census you might calculated the birthdate for Benjamin Sr. a bit more accurately.

MMH also tells us that Benjamine jr. was born April 2, 1818 and first m. Sarah Clouse and then Lucinda Davault.

Hope this helps you with your research. I'm interested in Benjamin Sr.'s siblings and where they migrated to if you would care to share that. There are too many descendants to keep up with all the grandchildren.
